And here they are Denise!...

Another tough week this week, with lots of great images. The theme was "color blast", so I gave a lot of weight to how color helped strengthen the image and the visual impact suggested by the word "blast". Good work by everyone!

First place - Iris Colour Blast by Jackie Schuknecht - Lovely swirling colors, composition, and the added interest of the swirl put this one over the top for me! Congratulations Jackie!!

Second place - Alien world by Indranil Sircar - Lots of color and fractal motion, all anchored by that little bug! I love how the colors are echoed in the iridescence of the bug. Good one Indranil!

Third place - Full of Sunshine by Christopher Miller - Excellent example of how a single color can be a blast! Nice capture of sunshine in a flower. Well done!

Fourth place - Color in Paradise by Mark Fuge - I really liked the bold colors and the illustrated look of this one. Lots of great color from you this week Mark!

Fifth place - Chives by Anita Bower - Lovely colors, arc of the stem, and lighting on this one. I love how the bloom is reaching for the light. A very nice springtime portrait!
