Looks pretty good Harshad. Maybe a little NR on the BG? Well done! Good pose. :)
Hi Harshad, excellent shot, you do so well at getting these shots, and my own very short experience in India showed me that it was very difficult to get any kind of clear shot at a tiger, without either jeeps or vegetation. I liked the facial expression, the ear position, and the poised back leg. Good job
cheers

Hi Harshad, I know how hard it is, I actually put my camera away a few times rather than getting frustrated, and just watched. Ended up with people parking right in my line of sight on the big male tiger B2 I think he was called, at Bandhgr...
Keep them coming,
cheers

Harshad,
What a nice looking cub, could it do with a little more light?
Another vote for the difficulty in getting images of Tigers, not only as a result of trees and foliage, but worse of all fellow visitors.
I look forward to seeing your images of the "old man".
Lovely image of the cub, they really are gangly at that age which you've caught well.
We know the secret behind Harshad's tiger success … he has a driver who doesn't stop for monkeys but only has his eye on the tiger!!:D

V nice light and eye contact.
Would like to see those front paws up on rock.

Bhai a lovely pose from a cute cub! I can only imagine how difficult it must be given their nature and the images I've seen of how many vehicles haunt them at each sighting.
To me it looks a bit underexposed, and a bit softer than your usual standard (perhaps due to conditions and your SS being slightly slow)...is it tack sharp at full resolution?
Lovely picture Harshad.
On my fb I came across this:
Urgent message from Mr. Rajashri Banerji:I NEED TO KNOW URGENTLY IF THERE IS ANYBODY ANYWHERE WHO HAS SEEN (OR TAKEN PHOTOGRAPH OF) THE JHURJHURA TIGRESS AND/OR HER CUBS ON 17TH MAY EVENING OR 18TH MAY MORNING ...OR 18TH MAY EVENING. PLEASE REVERT URGENTLY AS THIS IS VITAL TO BRING JUSTICE TO THE DECEASED TIGRESS AND THE CUBS. YOU CAN WRITE TO ME DIRECTLY ALSO ON rajbanerji@yahoo.com
A few comments later this:
i'd an in iformation dat two ministers son's had gone inside the bandhavgarh national park for the night drive with the help of a ranger.
and had probably had hit the tigress that night ..
and this info. i got through 1 of the resort guys who do not want to disclose his id.
Maybe you can forward it to your friends and nail the culprits.
Great shot, Harshad!
Have you used the 7D + 100-400L to shoot tigers in Bandhavgarh?
Very cute, inquisitive look, so typical of cubs. Lovely image, Harshad.
cute one. I like the pose. I am surprised by the noise in the background even at ISO 400.
Egil,
It is an unfortunate situation. Just before this tigress was runover, I had written to the minister about the impact of tourism. And now this sad thing has happened. There is lot of effort on to cover up this case. The tour operators, drivers, guides and most of the photographers are keeping quiet as influential persons are involved. The fight is on from our side. This is likely to be a long battle.
Cheers,
Sabyasachi
With tricky lighting I always get noisy images from 7D , reason I dont know , must be operator error
our group on FB has already sent petition to President of India and I sure our current minister is good enough to nail the culprits
Check this link. Towards the end, in the comments, I have given details of authorities to send representations.
