    Default Western Diamondback

I encountered my first snake of the year, and almost stepped on it. These guys blend in incredibly well with their environment. This one didn't mind our presence as it didn't shake its rattle or hiss which was a good thing. Anyways let me know what you think. Cropped a bit and selective sharpened the in focus areas of the snake.

well i'm glad you didnt step on it. it would have hissed, shook, bit, etc!!

head looks sharp. i might add some canvas to the right side making it more of a pano and moving the eye closer to a ROT line. nice job with the exp. that eye is just mean!!

Thanks for the feedback Harold. When I was playing with the crop it just seemed as if there was too much empty space to the right. I might add just a sliver so it doesn't look so tight.

This is a great habitat shot. It gives us an idea of the surroundings but still it's unobtrusive. He may not have been rattling, but sure is ready to strike! I vote for a little more room as previously mentioned, and find myself wishing you would have gotten a bit lower if possible.

+1 to being glad you didn't step on it! :)

Thanks, there was a pipe of some sort (probably the cause of the small puddle) just below where I shot this. I cannot recall if there was enough room underneath to shoot below the pipe.
