I've had the fun of watching two sets of Baltimore Orioles for the past week as they migrate through my state. They are eating up the oranges and grape bird jelly like crazy and can't seem to get enough of the hummingbird feeder, either. It's been difficult getting decent images of them because it's been so rainy and horribly overcast all week but I've managed to get an image here or there. They sure are a colorful addition to the backyard! This is one of the less-colorful females.

Hey Julie - I've been trying to get these guys to my mom's bird feeder with all of the tricks but we just can't get them in. You've inspired me to keep trying. I don't know if you get Missouri Conservationist but I had a Baltimore Oriole photo in the issue before last. It wasn't one of my best shots though. Thanks for sending the female shot. I've never seen one before.

Hey Jules-how fun for you to get these birds in your backyard!:D I have to go to a park to see them. This bird may be less colorful but she is a beauty.

Danny, I had out the grape bird jelly & the purple feeder nectar and they did eat both but it was the fresh oranges cut in half and stuck on the ends of the shepherd's hooks that brought them in. They couldn't get enough of them while they were here!
