Hi Peter - like the high key - angle is a little steep - but not to bad.
Has a slightly oversharpened feel or a little contrasty - cant quite put my finger on it- was the original a little soft?? Could also be the result of the crop maybe.
Might put a thin black frame around the image to tie it all in.
Looks like you have the exposure compensation worked out :)

    Keep em coming :)

Hi Peter. Are you shooting RAW? Are you using Adobe Camera Raw to do major adjustments, or trying to do them in Pse8? Was this image underexposed? As Lance questioned was this image a little soft? Have you updated the A-700 firmware to V4? Your camera settings look OK, but, sorry to say, something is wrong.

I would like to see the original before any cropping or post processing. Just downsize and convert to a JPEG. regards~Bill

Nice pose and the perch looks great as well.

I might not crop quite as much myself.

A step to the left if possible would have been really nice.

Hi Peter, Agree with above comments. Would have liked a HA looking more at the viewer than looking away. Also noticed a white line around parts of the bird and the top of the rear branch. Could it be due to a selection?

Hi Peter. I agree with the oversharpened/contrasty look. The HA is a little away. Maybe lightening the head and eye would help. Keep 'em coming......
