    I found the females to be perticularly shy this season. But this darling was quite bold.

    Spec: 1/400, ISO 800, F 5.6, + 1/3

    Canon 40D + 500mm + 1.4TC

    I also like pose, bg, eye contact and especially the warm golden light.

    Beautiful, wonderful lighting and great setting. A bit more room around the bird for mine. Love the stare and pose of the bird.

    The head turn is just superb to my taste and I love to see the dorsal side of the bird, fantastic Bg and perch with such a nice soft and rich light. Very good one Kiran

    Kiran, you are so fortunate to be able to capture these wonderful species, and the eye contact here, puts it over the top. Good lookback pose, with good feather detail on the wings. Just love the warm colours too.

    You keep comming up with these great raptor shots Kiran. Love the headturn and soft light. I am a little undecided about the grass stems in the BG. Otherwise one of the best perching shots of this species I have seen.
