more from my nesting White-tailed Kite project. These birds often "double clutch" in California and the adult female is taking a short break to feed on a vole presented to her by the male. The hungry fledgling lands next to her and tries for the food. She eventually had to find another perch to finish her meal.

Cool interaction captured here Phil! Love the perch and the background too. Some shadows/highlights adjustments would help to tone down the nearly hot whites on the adults head and bring up a bit more underwing detail. It would be fabulous to have the eye of the juvenile showing as well.

Those things being said...still wish it were mine. Congrats!

    Cheers!

Awesome shot, the composition is excellent. Love the branch they are both perched on. Composition suits this well. And, of course, the behaviour is makes the shot. Terrific work.

Composition works just perfect, Bg is to die for, and the action couldn´t be better. Very good eye contact in the adult and too bad that the eye in the young is not visible. A very good image Phil, congratulations and TFS :)
