    Sandhill crane at Reifel wetlands Vancouver BC Canada, just started to rain, but i got lucky with a couple of shots this one was taken with Canon 40D- 300mm prime.

    A nice head shot, I think I would have lighten the the eye and sharpen it a little more to draw attention to it also the feathers to the right of the eye are to bright and I would have darken that area.

    totally agree with above comments.
    Long bill portraits are awkward to crop, might try a bit off the top

    love the little black hairs growing out the crown
