    Default Dinner Anyone?

I moved around the bird feeders in my backyard tonight and it brought out a huge flurry of activity. (Apparently some of them thought the feeders were a little too close to my deck so I backed them off a few feet and here came the entire crew!) About ten minutes later, they all took off simultaneously - even the lazy mourning doves bolted. And, for once, there I was with my 400mm on hand. Still, he was a good 40' from my deck and a good 20' up in the air.

This juvenile Cooper's Hawk didn't catch anything for dinner but I caught him for a change! :D:):D

Great catch on this one Julie. Look at the tail on that thing. I guess it helps them to navigate through the woods.

I think he/she really likes your feeder :) I'm sure the little birds are quite aware and taking notice !

Yes, Denise, for once he was actually in a good position and didn't have fifteen different branches emitting from the back of his head. ;)
