Looks mysterious. I love the double Fracting. I think that cropping off about 1/2 the bill on the left would make it stronger. Also, you might consider getting rid of the little black thingie on the base of the bill that sticks out into the white feathers.

I couldn't resist. Once I started cropping I couldn't stop. I got rid of the tiny black feather on the beak with a few small Quick Masks.

Thanks Artie, I do prefer it :)
Excellent work, Denise! That eye really grabs you. I love the frac effect, and Artie's repost nailed it. :)
Nice image and application, Denise.
I might have taken the crop one step farther, to give total power to the eye. Since the original subject image is of only part of the head, it is not necessary to show the top of the head and open space above.
But your image ... your vision.
Here is another example ...
Christopher, Thank you for your comments. Much appreciated.
Mark, That is another way to look at it :) Thanks
What an eye! Excellent composition, Denise. Love the double fract and the color contrast. In fact I think this is a great example of Chiaroscuro style of composition... good early start for us to think about next week ;)
This is "way cool" Denise! Should be a poster for something, like an art exhibit (yours). I like Artie's crop and personally prefer the space at the top. Could be interpreted in many ways though, very nice indeed.

Thanks guys,I appreciate it.
Indranil, Good thinking. I will have to find something else for the weeks theme that would take this effect.
Kerry, Someday I'll have an exhibit:)
Denise, I have seen enough of your beautiful, innovative photography to know that you could mount an exhibition with ease (well, it would probably be very hard work!). Love this image and how you have produced it.
Thank you so much Hilary. I appreciate the support.:)
For Denise, who liked the crop but also liked the tiny feather on the bill. :)

Compelling image D. Like all the crops, don't mind the feather. I would crop from the top and take out all the black. My .02 for the morning:)
Cheryl and Jackie, Thanks so much for the feedback.
Jackie, That is definitely another good crop suggestion and I did like the feathers back by the beak;)
