This pair of Swallow-tailed Gulls was nestled in a crevice on the seacliff of South Plaza Island (Galapagos), taking turns tenderly preening one another. I guess a slightly smaller aperture would have helped. C&C appreciated.

Sweet. Why a smaller aperture? Both heads look sharp to me. Did you blur the BKGR at all? I can't wait to get back to South Plaza.

Thank you Artie. I did not blur the bg. I did very little to this other than crop 30%. To my eye the back bird might have been just a bit sharper; maybe just one stop difference.

Hi Bill - I really love this shot. Nice detail, depth of field, action and gorgeous color on the eyes. Fine work.
