Due to the protective area it is more difficult to photograph as most of the birds stayed within the protected area but I s very glad to see that the nests are being looked after since it will guard the future of the species.

Hi Judy, excellent wingspread, and just love the underwing detail. Good to see the eye against the darker plumage. Well captured.

Judy, a very attractive view of the under-wings of this bird. Our skimmers are just beginning to show up here -- hope i can get an equally nice image . . .

Judy - Nice work on the vertical comp to catch the full wingspread. The bill looks great as well. Fine shot.

    Hi Judy lynn,

Classic image, well done. Good control of the whites and looks nice and sharp.

Good to hear they are nesting, in years past they were creating scrapes only "outside" the area and then on weekends the kids would chase them off.

500mm F2.8, are you doing top secret beta testing you can tell us about? :D

Stuart is right, there is a very slight halo around the black edges. I normally only sharpen feather detail and avoid global sharpening even in raw conversion all together.
