    These tiny (4" 10.5cm) foliage gleaners are common in eucalypt trees right across Australia.
    Canon 40D, EF500 f/4 + 1.4tc, tripod. ISO 200, f/7.1, 1/1000. Full frame.

    It may be a common bird but never keeps still and is very difficult to photograph. Well done.

    I love seeing these birds from afar! I wouldn't mind seeing this image cropped from just above the see through opening at LLC. Wish the shadow below the tail was not there. Great pose by this beautiful bird, with a perfect slight head turn too :-)

    Yes, very nice and I agree the perch is a little overwhelming, so cropping some off looks like a sane solution. Bird is beautiful and happy to have the opportunity to see it. Thanks for sharing it!

    What a pretty bird. Adding to the other comments, the BG is a bit noisy and the bird a tad oversharpened. Above the dark wing feathers there is a slight S/H halo.

    lovely capture Simon of this Pardalote - good exposure, detail and composition. The perch doesn't worry me unduly.

    Very nice pose and composition. I agree with the perch. I also think your dark BG makes your subject POP!
