    Yesterday my sigma 150mm came. The same evening i tried it on some damselfly's. I like to hear what you think about this one. out of the hand, f5 1/1000e iso 400.

    Tech details??
    Congrats on the new toy - solid performer it is!!
    Do like the backlight - has blown out the details on the wings though and not enough detail in other areas of the body.
    F5 is probably not enough DOF - Want to stop right down with a macro -- Realise this is only a test shot!!!

    Cant wait to see more :)

    Congrats on the new lens
    I love how black lighting tends to bring out the details in transparent texture, like the leave in this case. But the one on the wing is too much and some details start to loose. I like the rim light effect and wish more of it around the dragonfly.

    Hi, Good attempt with the new lense. I feel the strongest part of the image is the rim lighting.
    Agree about the DOF in this case.The leaves are a bit too dominant within the image IMO...

    Congrats on your new toy! I agree with the techs from above. Maybe a vertical image, cutting out some of the leaves would help. Keep 'em coming!!!

    I really like the idea of this one with rim lighting as mentioned.
