    Here's a simple environmental shot from last month. I personally liked the simplicity and overall tonality -- I only wish the tail wasn't cut off by the branch.



    Nikon D300, 500VR
    1/2000s f/5.6 at 500.0mm iso200 no flash, moderate crop.

    Nice environmental image. Agree about he tail.
    To my eye the bird is slightly oversharpened, looks a bit stuck on the image

    Hey, I like the framing the branches provided and the monochromatic palette. Love the catch light too. TFS.

    Very nice environmental shot. good light, colors an BG. I like the branches farming effect here.
    I would take some canvas of, top and bottom. just a bit.

    Ok, so here's a slightly smaller crop. I also reduced the sharpening.




    I like this better.
