A very active bird which proved difficult to photograph as it didn't stay in one spot very long. Still a challange and worth the effort. Not very colorfull , but has beautiful detail.

Lovely capture Joe and very pleasing composition . Excellent pose eye contact and detail with a beautiful BG. I really like the shaded blue Background in this capture. Fine work and many thank for sharing.

interesting bird and I like that the perch echoes its plumage patterns.

How big is this bird? I am used to the European Wren which is tiny - this guy looks more the size of a Common Blackbird (23 - 29 cm long; roughly 10 to 12 inches). Patterns in the plumage are great. My personal preference is for a lighter touch with sharpening, so would probably ease back on it a little here.

Come on Joe, thats the challenge in bird photography - get the shot whilst the subject is hopping around. ;) Super pose, and interesting detail on both the bird and the perch.

About the size of a Robin , just a touch bigger but not much.

This bird is on my "want" list; congrats on this capture on that perfect-for-the-subject perch.

I take it that is a North American Robin, not the tiny little guys we have over here! :D

Wrens really are some of my favorite birds Joe. The character they move around with is just so fun to watch. I hope some day to see one of these guys. The feather detail you captured looks amazing and the look at the eye really draws me in. I wish the angle wasn't so steep and a little more parallel with the bird but that's being awful picky. Nice job.
