Very nice landing shot, Harold.I like the wing positon and the intent stare of the osprey. The fish in it's talons is a plus. To my inexperienced eye the colors look okay. I would lighten/desaturate the sky, but thats just personal taste. I would crop some from the bottom and left.

Some sharpening and contrast should do it H

Colours look fine to me also.

I also like the idea of a bit of a crop as mentioned and wonder about a bit more sharpening.

I'm curious about what the pros have to say, but it is still a very nice photo.

Colors and detail look fine to me as well. I would crop considerably more from the left leaving more canvas on the left compared to right giving more focus to the Osprey. The left side as it is now is distracting (to my taste) and takes away from the terrific IF action. Did you crop anything from the bottom? If so, I would add more there as well. I know this bird Harold....can't wait to go back

Hi Harold,Nice light, detail along with a good exposure. Image is strong but I also agree on taking some off the left. It will give the bird more impact within the frame...

ok, let me get this straight. crop from bottom and left, add contrast, desat the sky and sharpen the bird. there's obviously something else. al's got his eye on it but not giving it up. come on guys!!! let me have it!!!!!

Harold ..I can think of one more thing regarding the bird...maybe that's where Al is going...you could clone out the blurred wispy tip at the top of the left wing and it would not effect the image at all....of course that one little feather tip might throw off her balance and she might crash into the nest...LOL

no way alfred would ever advise that. i think it's the shadow line on the back of the wing. i totally missed it til i just sat here and stared at it trying to figure it out for myself!!!!!!!:eek::o
