    This image was taken during Artie's Galapagos trip last July - Espanola Island. Albatrosses are amazing fliers and I really like the heading-right-at-you view. 20D, 300 f/4 + 1.4x, 1/1250, f/8, ISO 400. Added some canvas at the bottom as the wing tip almost touched the frame and cropped slightly on the right.

    I agree with your assessment concerning the right at you orientation. I've always thought that diagonal flight images are dynamic and interesting and yours is a beauty.

    Nice headon, Steve. Birds like this with big wing spans are so hard to crop other than panoramic. This is nice with the corner to corner wingtips.

    Great diagonal created by the wingspan and good sharpness in the head, I'm sure you enjoyed the trip :)
