From the Alligator Farm this past weekend a full frame spoon, got him late in the day when my shutter speed was down to 1/250. There are four spoon nests two of which have at lest one egg ! Love seeing them flying around all day !!

Hope there will be more nesting for next season, Its going to be even better !!! Overall this might be one of the best seasons at the Farm !!

    Comments welcome and much appreciated

    Alfred....

Really enjoy the cloud background and for the shutter speed you were at, I think you did an excellent job capturing the head as sharply as you did.

Just love the little bit of blur in the wings. The sky compliments the image very well. IMO one of your best!!!!!

Al, beautiful bird, comp, colors and BG. Stopping down for the clouds is very creative. I think you intentionally went for this effect( guessing from the low iso)..but I have to be honest and say that the subject shake is not working for me here. personal taste. And I know you wont take this personally :-)

Hi Kaustubh Comment well taken and appreciated !! The reason I did not increase the shutter speed was for max flash output, going into high speed sync was not an option. btw I was working without the BB and sort of like the result, still comparing with and without !!!
