    40D. 400 f5.6L at f/7.1. iso 400. 1/1250s. evaluative with 0 comp.

    A little too tight, I know. But she came really close. Thanks for looking. All C&C welcome.

    Great job fitting her in!
    Nice light, head angle/eye contact, excellent exposure and detail, and water looks good as well.
    Nicely done!

    One fine image Kaustubh Excellent detail in the white area by beak and all sharp Best of all the image feel, I think the blue water is key, lovely shade !!! All perfect for my taste !!!

    Excellent critiques above. The best one was by Kaustubh: too tight. Oh how I would love to see more of that luscious blue water....

    I'm fixed on the eye! Very, very nice. This would be an interesting challenge to make some canvas. Maybe the "content-aware fill" of CS5 may be able to do something?

    Kaustubh, great close up, and the comp works for although a little more on the right would work too. Excellent detail throughout, and I too, just love the colour of the water.

    Thx everyone for the kind words and feedback. I devoted a good part of the winter to ducks...on water and in air. Feedbacks from here have helped me tremendously.
