Good pose but the perch is awfully large. Excellent bokeh. You might consider a vertical crop as the subject is a bit small in the frame.

Hi Roy - I dont mind the composition - you have followed the general rule of thumb - placing small bird in the corner of the frame.
Like the BG - compliments the bird nicely.
SS is a little slow with that focal length - UP your ISO - Can go to 800 and will boost that SS.

i like this quite a bit. believe it or not i'd wish for just a slither of space on the left of the post. there's also a dust bunny just in front and below the bird. love the bg. nicely done, roy!!

Hi Roy Like the way you frame it with lots of room up front/top and the bird in a corner Was going to suggest taking some form the perch but like just as is !!!

Excellent detail in the shadows, could increase contrast in lighter areas just a tad but its mostly taste !!! Excellent !!

btw going vertical as suggested by Doug would also make an excellent image, it all depends of the feel we want to achieve !!!

Excellent image of this little bird. Great fine feather detail and BG.
I saw one of these today but it wouldn't come out in the open.
