    Captured last spring at Lake Blue Cypress on Jim Neiger's boat, handheld according to his teachings. Canvas and wing-tip added.... I'm still practicing, Jim. MarkII with 500 f/4.

    The strong diagonal composition, direct eye contact, fanned tail and sharpness all combine to make this a very compelling image.

    Wonderful head on. The fish is a bonus. The whites looks slightly hot and there is some over sharpening on the wing tips. Early morning light would have been very nice on this.

    I really like the diagonal composition here. Nice sharpness, eye contact, and good job on the wing tip. Looks like a couple of dust spots to the left of the lower wing - easy to fix.

    Great compo, Susan. I see a faint shadow of a halo, see the tutorial about sharpening in sky in our Educational Resource Forum. It can also be used for Shadow/Highlight.
    It was nice to see you last week at Wako :)
