Here's one from this morning at Wakodahatchee Wetlands in Boynton Beach. Met some fellow BPN'ers there by surprise and had a blast shooting all kinds of birds. Thanks guys!!

    Nikon D300, Sigma 50-500 at 500mm, f/7.1, 1/3200s, -1.3EV, ISO 640.

Cropped and sharpened in Capture NX. that's it. i didnt touch anything else.

Hey Harold, I'm glad that you photographed this duck. The Mottled Ducks aren't as colorful as many species and so they are often ignored. The flight action looks nice and allowed you to capture the blue speculum feathers. The biggest drawback that I see is that the bird is flying somewhat away from you and not looking your way...that would have just topped this off perfectly, but can be hard to capture! Nice work!

It was a treat this morning Harold !!!!! Pure sensory overload !!!!!

Glad you got the little speeding bullet. They gave not cooperation !!!! Agree with Judd and can add a full wing up/down would have been great . That said I did not come close to nailing one !!! btw tough on the crop but might go tighter on this one.
