I recently returned from the month long ICF Pro Tour of Nature Photography Contest.. It's great to be back. I've gone through my 17000 images and have turned in my 75 image portfolio for judging later this month. It was an extremely difficult cotest this year for a number of reasons. Can't show any images taken during the contest till after judging but this was from before the contest started.

    Exposure mode: Av

Dale, loved the light here. Bird is oriented perfectly w.r.t the camera. Fabulous details and exposure. Only suggestion is to have the bird a little to the right in the frame...but hard to do that for in-flight images. I am guessing you were using the center AF point.

Terrific pose in sweet light. I know you guys are not allowed to crop for the contest, but this one could use a bit off the right hand side. Very sharp and good EXP.
Good luck in the contest :)

Sweet Dale !!! I'm sure your going to do well in the contest this year, you did come up some special images ... that has to be the toughest contest with no cropping allowed and basically images out of the camera !! .... waiting to celebrate !!!
