    Default Black-throated blue warbler

Seen commonly during migration, this bird is also a common breeder in the northern hardwood forest of the southern Adirondacks close to my home. Canon 500mm F4 IS x1.4, ISO 400, F7.1, fill flash -2

Jeff, loved the singing pose, exposure and the comp( strong diagonal) a lot. And I am a big fan of this kind of bokeh. Well done.

Lovely singing pose with great EXP control. Perfect head angle and catch light. Good enough DOF too.
Glad to see you posting :)

One of my target species this year! I will be very challenged to get this bird in northern MN, therefore I will tell you I am green with envy! You flashed him just the right amount and I like him calling back.

    Jeff,

This is an amazing shot of my favorite warbler. I still don't have an image I am happy with of this species. I really like the singing pose and the exposure looks perfect with great detail in both the dark and light areas. The bg is pretty sweet too. Well done!!

I like the pose and the bird has good detail. Nice light and good crop. The perch could be a little smaller. A darker BG would really make the bird stand out.
