I captured this portrait on my recent trip to the Eastern Sierra. The BG is a distant mountain slope. This is a pretty big crop in ACR, pp'ed in ACR and CS3, NR and sharpened with Noiseware Pro.

I like the muted tone of the image and good pose. The flash catchlight could be removed from the center of the eye. I guess it is the crop but the bird looks a little soft overall.

love the pose, perch and BG, just needs a bit more sharpening and contrast boost.

I like the soft light, eye contact and BG and agree that a contrast boost and maybe midtone adjustment would make it even stronger.

While the BG is sweet , it blends with the beautiful subject too much. Bird needs a bit of separation to make it pop. Image is worth the effort.

Dan, Nice pose, perch and soft colored BG. Agree a bit more contrast and some selective sharpening. Nicely done.
