Gus remember the focal lenght at which you were photographing was 570 !!!! Take the 1.5X camera factor into consideration It is very real Might not be reflected in the exif but will play a role.
I like that bg Nikon blues They are unique Would give the bird a little more room in frame (top side) and agree with Harold on the usm pass Also the head angle is just off
