Great wing position and eye contact Bob. Only thing I would do is add some canvas on bottom and behind the bird and would also clone out the white streak.

BG is fine with me. Take off some of the negative space on the right, and add more on the bottom. TFS.

Lovely colors and wing position. Good points made above regarding addition/reduction of canvas, and I would also remove the white line (and/or some CCW rotation?). Nice image.
