    Default Colt !!!

On the way back from the St Augustine Alligator Farm we stopped at Viera Wetlands, it was cloudy and Fabs had a good hunch ... paid off in a big way, got lots of stuff including otters :)

Found a pair of cranes with two colts cute as they could be !! Birds walked in front of us without a care and keep walking around the bank, wish I was not as beat up from the weekend to work them a little more. This was hand held which I normally don't like doing but with the moving around had not chance for the tripod.

    Comments welcome and much appreciated

Looks great, I like the soft light, angle and sharpness. I would have probably stopped down more but like the effect as it makes the little guy look even fuzzier.

Alfred I love this one with the down and the great BG. It makes this colt really pop.

They do have legs of a colt. Great intimate portrait shot. Eye is nice and sharp. Might soften the purple line in the BG. I would love to get a shot of these littke sandhills'. Guess another Florida trip is in order:)

Boy I hope I can work from Florida this winter, I'd love to come and get a shot like that. I swear I can see a pupil in the eye.

Very sweet Alfred. I guess you chose f4 so you could get the high SS as you were hand holding. Would like a bit more DOF but I understand why you did it this way , and a good idea as you may have blown a great opportunity doing it another way. Just a very sweet portrait.

Fantastic portrait Al!! I love the fuzziness and face markings-very powerful. Here it looks like you could push up the whites a little for a brighter and snappier contrast--and still not loose that soft look.

Al, I like the wide-open DOF here. creates that dreamy feel. Beautiful exposure and BG.
