    sweet image with a beautiful BG. If you hade the control , the perch is a bit big for the bird.

    Sweet indeed. Getting closer to this cute subject would have yielded a much stronger image. Do you own an extension tube?

    I do have some that are a little closer. No I don't own any extension tubes.

    Tip: get yourself a 25mm extension tube. It will allow for much closer focus. It this bird were totally tame you could almost have filled the frame with the subject....

    Getting closer would have made on special image but do like it as presented !!! Excellent pose and sweet bg !!! .. btw if you go for the extension tubes would get at least a couple of 25 !!!

    Joshua nice pose on this chick and I like the BG too. I might consider cloning out the small OOF branch. It tends to draw my eye a bit.

    The crop is far more powerful, cute, and interesting. And the image quality held up quite well.

    does the combination of canon 7D and 500 4.0 IS + 1.4 ext + 25 mm extension tube work? can it keep the AF too ?
