    Default Red Shouldered Hawk

Looking for some critique on this one...I added some canvas and I cloned some grass out. Thanks a bunch.

Hi Pete, Beautiful bird and I love the outstretched talons along with the fanned tail. I would add a bit more room to the top. Good exposure and detail.
In a perfect world I would prefer the head not merging with the back wing. Well handled!

Hi Pete - like the landing pose - wondering if the inclusion of the perch (if indeed he was landing) would add to the story?
Might sharpen the eye a tad and possibly just lighten the mid tones just a tad.
Some may wish for a little separation between the head and the rear wing.

    Like it a lot!!

Thanks for the feedback. Yep I wish the head wasn't lost in the wing. This bird was hunting and was attempting to catch something in the grass when I took this shot. Lance I'll give your tips a try. And Dave I'll add...whattya think a half inch to the top?
