Good light, sharpness, look-back pose and eye contact. I wish there were a bit more separation between chest and OOF leaves/blossoms in the BG.

Hi Mike. Axel covered the techs for me. I think you did a good job with the flash exposure. It looks like natural light.

Mike, agree with Axel and Julie. Impressed with details for a 50% crop.

Mike well handled image and I really like the pose onteh twig with the over the shoulder look. I'll agre with Axel about the flowers merging with the breast but still a nice image.

Nice light...not overly flashed (I'm a natural light only shooter so that's important to me!) Sharp. As has been mentioned, the flower crowds the bird a little. I think the image would be strengthened if the left most and right most branches were cloned out and the lighter parts of the BG "painted" to a slightly more uniform green light -- that would really make the bird "pop".

    Mike:

Techs covered. The merge with the leaves/flowers in front of the bird is my biggest concern. If so inclined, I think you could subtly tone those down so they are so distracting.

I actually rather like the three sweeping diagonal branches, but would tone down the blossoms on the right most one.

    Cheers

    Randy
