Great overall feeling on this one!
Love the pose, colors, setting, and BG and excellent job with the exposure!

Might like a bit more room at the bottom for the virtual feet and wish the bit of OOF grass was not obscuring part of the tail.

You certainly got his full attention. :) I like the soft light, setting, sharpness and eye contact. I also wish the grass wouldn't cover parts of the tail. Could you have moved a bit to your right?

Unfortunately no. right at the water's edge, I was. Very marshy water to go in :-)

Kaustubh very nice pose on a bird I've yet to see. I like the alert look and the sharp details on the head and the eye contact.

    Kaustubh:

I had the exact same reaction as Mike, very nice feel. Harmonious colors, compostion. Like the water and OOF flowers in BG. Techs mentioned, but the image is still strong.

    Thanks

OH Yes Kaustubh, simply stunning. The low angle, forward pose, soft light and colours, just shouts excellent. If I had to change one thing, it would be to blend in the grey patch on the RHS. Still, congrats on a fine image.

Wow Kaustubh...very appealing image!! I love the dew drops of the blades of grass. I don't mind the OOF FG at bottom left and I find the comp well balanced. I agree with Stuart about the greyish patch at right. Very well done.

Daniel, Stuart, the greyish patch is water. Hence, I dont mind it. Thx for the feedback.

Beautiful shot Kaustubh! I like it for many of the reasons mentioned above, soft light great sharpness on the bird, low angle and nice green background. A very nice feel to this one.

    Cheers!

Sweet as can be Kaustubh!! Beautiful clean feel to it and interesting with that pose. I feel the gray water ADDS to the shot by putting some opposition and interest to the right side. Agree to keep as is.
