I was at my brothers house and he had a selection of birds in his front yard. I couldn't set up outside as to space restrictions. SOooo, once again I had to shoot through some TINTED GLASS. (Just can't seem to get away from that glass) Cropping and some minor adjustments were made. Left a little to the left, trying to apply the rule of thirds.

Tripod was used with 1.4x Sigma Teleconverter.

Vince, rule of thirds is good - 1/3 bird, 1/3 tree and 1/3 BG is a solid setup. Maybe a bit less BG and tone down hot-spots a tad.

Light looks a bit mixed but could be the work monitor - love the species - TFS.

Very nice, Vince. I like the pose and eye contact. I agree with a little less BG and maybe some selective sharpening on the head and eyes.

repost is much better. I'm seeing a slight greenish hue on the woodpecker's belly. I never get tired of these guys. love them.

Hi Vince - repost is a improvement for sure!! Agree with the comments above. Composition is good.
Best way to improve this shot is to get out from behind that glass.
    Keep em coming :)

Hi Vince. Repost is a great improvement. Like the comp and ROT. Glass didn't help you any here, and in an ideal world I might have preferred more light on the bird and less head-turn. But definitely showing improvement. Well done.
