    It was the first time I saw one of these last year at the Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary. This emu is a captive bird and was very used to people approaching it.

    Canon 300, 300F4, ISO100, f5.6, 1/250.
    Cropped approx 20%, SH, levels and sat adjust. USM.

    Looks like big foot! The light is pretty harsh but you managed to keep a lot of detail in the foot. You may be able to tone things down a bit. Love the composition.

    I agree, real nice detail on this even with the harsh light. I wish the BG foot wasn't there.

    Prehistoric foot this one - agree about the harsh light but still managed some nice detail.
    A tad more sharpening perphaps :)

    Thanks for viewing and commenting.

    The light was a lot harsher in the original. I was able to recover some detail, but I think that's about as good as I can manage.
