    Danny, I like the pose and the composition. I might take a small amount off the right. I do like the perch. It has some interest to me. You did well w/ the side light. I might tone down the dark band in the BG going through the beak.:)

    I love the comp as is. Way cool perch! I love to see these guys in breeding plumage. Toning down the darker band near the bill is a good option offered by Denise. I would also clone out the two dark spots near the right edge.

    Comp works well, and I like the pose. The bill seems to follow the slope of the perch. Lovely light and colours, and if anything, I would maybe take a tad off the top.

    Danny, loved the crop as presented. Very well done IMO. Perfect head angle and the shooting angle.

    I agree about the perch -- gives it some nice interest. Lighting is also very warm and appealing.

    You definitely captured the "spotted" aspect of this sandpiper Danny. I am not as fond of the slimy looking perch but you shoot them where they stand I suppose. The detail in the bird and the low angle are nice.
