James gave me a nudge so I joined and here's my first post. I've known James from online forums but haven't had the pleasure of meeting him in person yet. Hope to remedy that soon. This Yellow-bellied Sapsucker was captured using my Jeep as a rolling blind. I used my front seat grab rig which is a Canon 30D, 300/4 IS and 1.4 converter. 1/800 @ f/8, ISO 200, 90% of frame, natural light, handheld
Very beautiful profile of this guy and perfectly exposed. Too bad he's got a bit of ruffled up feathers on its side or else it would have been a perfect specimen! I'd rather the amount of space above and below the bird were reversed (bird lower in frame). Great first post - can't wait to see more...
Wonderul image as noted above plus a perfect head angle. A crop from the left and from the bottom would tighten things up. Later and love, artie
