Sharp. Good EXP in spite of tough, off-angle light. The perch is less than ideal and needs to be toned down a bit. Could you have moved well to your left? Were you in a vehicle?

Thanks , No I've been in blind which stay between two trees the only narrow space for shooting the owl and I couldn't move for better composition or light's angle .

As you know where the sun is why not move the blind to sun angle???

How was the bird attracted to the perch?

Unfortunately the location I used for blind didn't leave any choice for moving it .This perch and another one near their nest selected by this pair of Little owl which have eggs and i think the female lays on their eggs , may be the eggs didn't hatch yet . the one near the nest is more suited in terms of light angle and better composition but i fear to close more than their circle of tolerance and they left the nest . I put some more natural perch near the perch in this photo but the bird prefers the one which taller . I attracted them by playing their song .

Thanks for the info. If you affix a natural perch to the top of the favored post you should be in good shape....

You are welcome. Let us know how you do. Where do these birds nest? (They are similar to our Burrowing Owls.)
