Taken at Magee Marsh in Ohio a couple of weeks ago. The branches and leaves often clutter photos taken there, but here I thought they helped frame the warbler. Only corrected a slight yellow color cast in PS using Curves and applied some noise reduction using Topaz Denoise4

    Hi Peter,
I'll leave critiquing and suggestions to others who know. Just wanted to say it works for me. The head is sharp enough and nice detail in the birds feathers. The rest flows from there. I like it.

Dreamy, loverly male, but still a yellow cast. The repost is with a 20% Average Blur Color Balance. The bird is a bit lost in the foliage. Sharpness pretty good for hh-ing.

One of my favorite birds. I would love to get one in the open with a clean BG. But, since this is where they live I think this works just fine. I like what Artie did with the color.

    thanks everyone for the comments
Artie - my mistake : it was a slight blue cast i neutralized in the whites

I find Filter Blur Average won't always neutralize the whites when there's a predominant color ( eg - green here). That's why i'll use a Levels or Curves adjustment layer and work on individual RGB channels to neutralize the whites

In the end - it comes down to personal preference on the colors

Thanks for the lesson. But how come I like the overall color better in the repost than in the original post? :)
