Got this image this past February at Anhinga Trail; the bird was 6 ft from me.

Hi Ricardo - sharp as a tack were it needs to be - nice detail in the eye - might just tone down the highlights on the bill from the flash a little. Might darken the plumage a bit also.
Composition doesn't quite work for me - a little more on the RHS for my personal tastes.

Lovely coloured bg. The sharpness and detail looks great, especially the eye. Agree with Lance about the composition needing a bit more on the right.

Thanks Lance and Mark, I do have lots more on the RHS that I cropped so the eye would fall on a ROT point. I'm afraid I'm a sucker for the ROT, but I do See your point, so I'll repost with more of the body soon (am on iPad just now... Love it!!!)

Hello again Lance and Mark, here is the promised repost without the crop;. I also toned down the effect of the flash on the beak and darkened the body a bit, as per Lance's suggestion. Please let me know if this version is more agreeable than the OP.

Once more, thanks for your comments.

Repost is better - would be tempted to crop some from the top to move it closer to a ROT horizontally.
Plumage looks better that bit darker.

Thanks, Lance. I see what you mean about cropping some from the top, but I like the light blue sky so it will stay.

Your comments are helping me a lot!
