    Hi Everyone,
A late entry for the weekly theme :D
1D3 Sigma 105mm macro (can't remember whether I had the extenders on...)
    ISO 640
    f/2.8 1/40th sec
    Exp comp @ +1/3
PP was curves, cropping, then I rotated the image for the composition that I wanted.
Look forward to your C&C's :)
    Best to all,
    Nicki

    Nice image and application, Nicki.

I might have cropped the right side to bring the top of the right pedal line into the URC of the image. But nice as is.

Nicki, this is lovely as is. :)

I like Mark's crop suggestion and I think you could enhance the soft look and take it over the top by smoothing out the petals with a bit of surface blur or NR.

Mark and Ken, thanks so much for your very kind words and suggestions.
I made a deliberate choice to leave the crop a little asymmetric and when I did a print of this the petals did look a bit smoother - actually quite watercolour-ish! :)

Nicki, I like your asymmetric crop. The softer colors and the abstract look to this. Glad to hear the petals print smoother.
On your website-I can't access the hothouse flowers gallery. The regular flower gallery has an image called "untitled #1" it is fantastic! What is it????I love it!:)

Denise, thank you for your kind words :)
I'm not sure why you are having trouble getting into the Hot House Flowers gallery - my husband and I can both get into it on our computers  maybe try again later if you have a moment?? Let me know...
I'm glad you liked the Untitled! It is a dying tulip and the BG is a faded cushion cover that I turned inside-out so that it looked 'barely there.' I chose a slow shutter speed and then kicked the chair that the plamp was attached to in order to get some movement into the image (no wind that day!!) So you see, all very high-tech :D

Nicki, I just looked at your site and when I click on the hot house link, it takes me to the pics from your Florida trip.

Nicki I like the simplicity of the lines and I like the suggestion of cropping off the right a bit and maybe some NR. We have a lot of irises this week!

Denise and Ken, thanks so much for the comments re the Hot House Flowers folder on the site - actually, that is the name that I chose for my Florida birds folder (Florida being the Hot House :D) but perhaps this is a little too subtle :) Do you think that I should tweak the text on that page to reflect this? All suggestions gratefully received :)
Thank you to everyone else for your kind words on the iris.
    Best,
    Nicki
