    Hi Phil - Mixed light is always a challenge - good ha and eye contact.
    Might of considered shooting this wide open to blur the BG as much as possible.
    Might also clone out the branch in the BG that intersects the beak.
    Looking forward to seeing more with your new toy :)

    Phil,

    Lance gave good feedback, might edit EXIF data and I love your signature comment - too funny.

    Mixed light seems to distract and show different levels of detail (note the tone shadows). Love this bird, they are beautiful and you captured the colors well - TFS.
