The plant is a poinsettia leftover from Christmas and the BG is a horse blanket.

This is a White M Hairstreak that I found in March. So early in the season it should have looked fresh and beautiful but this one looks old and worn. This species isn't supposed to winter over so I can't figure out why it looks so thrashed. It was a life butterfly for me and a new record for the area so it was a good find.

He does look tired, doesn't he? Still, very nice image, Ken. Great idea with the horse blanket - the turquoise against the beige and gray is perfect. I also like that the leaf looks as frazzled as the butterfly.
