    Default Nightjar

An Indian Nightjar shot at Similipal Biosphere Reserve in Orissa, India. This was shot with the light of the SUV illuminating the subject. I wish the rock in front were absent, but there was no way to avoid it in the angle that I wanted. :(
    No additional blurring done.

Too bad about the rock. Still very cool to get one of these. Nice capture.

Sharp with a good EXP. I could do without the black strip at the top and of course, without the rock....

These guys have an ability to stay extremely still and are very well camouflaged. Its only on shining a light that they become visible due to their eyes (they reflect a red hue).

Thanks a lot for the info Bibhab!
It's a really nice feeling to have creatures from your childhood stories come alive before you!
