Default Juvenile Tricolored Heron in Nest

Near to the Green Heron nest that I have been documenting is a Tricolored Heron nest. This nest is hidden in the branches of the tree. We can see movement but it is not able to be photographed. There are 2 nestlings in this nest and luckily, one of them wandered onto a nearby branch and I was able to grab a couple of shots through the foliage.

Hi Milt - glad to see them progressing - tough situation.
Sharp as a tack - possibly a little too sharp??
some cloning artifacts on the lower bill area, did you remove a leaf or something there??

Lance, this is pretty much out of the camera. Just a tad sharpening is all I did.

    Milt,
A great portrait of this young bird. I love the hairdo. Thanks for sharing.

That's what I first thought. Took me a minute to see that it's a blurred foreground leaf slightly overlapping the bill. A little cloning will fix it.

Great composition Milt. Do see some artifacts as Lance points out.
