    Interesting bird Michael. It would help if you would post your technical data and also upload a larger photo (they can be 800 pixels on the long side). That would make it easier to critique your photos.

    Hi Michael, Welcome. Where are you from?

    Nice pose and wing position, and fairly sharp. Unfortunate BKGR tree. Biggest problem: blown whites. Go to the Bulletin Archives at my web site and do a search for "exposure simplified." There is an excerpt from ABP II that will help you tremedously (but only if you study it).

    Also, the blues especially are over-SAT. Lastly, if you include the exposure data we are in better position to help you learn....

    Nice looking bird! I'd love to see it at the full size allowed. Sometimes I like the over-saturated look even if it isn't completely natural.

    I too wish to see a bigger version. Great banking pose, and good looks at the habitat. Agreed with the over-saturation - especeially noticeable in the water.

    Michael, nice to see you posting here. I like the environment shown here and must say the whites look ok on my monitor.
