Hi all, wonderful resource you have here with many bird-photo luminaries. I am old to photography, but relatively new to bird photography. I became passionate about photographing birds only a few years ago after moving to Western PA. There is a wide variety of song birds here (by my standards) and the marvelous National Aviary, which I highly recommend. Plus, Pittsburgh is a photogenic city, so there's always something to shoot (photographically, that is ;^). I'm always interested in learning new techniques in and out of the camera and would love, some day, to take a workshop with one of your publishers/members. In the mean time, I'll have to content myself with reading their books and figuring things out on my own as best I can. I have a website http://www.WatchTheBirdie.net with a small collection of my photos. A few of my images have been published on the cover of the Audubon Society of Western Pennsylvania's Bulletin News Letter. I've also sold signed/numbered prints to collectors and stock images used in advertisements. Anyway, enough tooting my horn. I look forward to contributing to this forum as time permits and learning from all quarters. Best to all. - Richard
Welcome to BPN Richard! You've joined the best bird/nature photography forum around :-)
Speaking of birds, sorry about your Penguins...at least you've got another PA. team surviving for now, and also with a quasi-bird related name (Flyers) :-)
Sorry about the hockey reference...can't help it from up here in Canada!!
