Default Landing gadwall, keep or not.

I was experimenting with some high shutter speeds to freeze the water drops, got this guy landing, but due to distance and angle separation with BG is not as good as I wanted. Thinking whether I should keep this in my portfolio or trash it? comments welcomed

I would keep it! I like the action! A lower shooting angle would have helped. Putting the bird a bit more to the right in the frame would be nice and meet your intent too, I think, since it would still allow the frozen water drops you wanted to be visible.

Hi Arash, As stated in a previous thread...you are the final arbitor of whether you keep it or not. IMO no one should make that judgement but simply state what they like or don't like about the image or how to improve it.You obviously felt the image has some good points(which it does) or you wouldn't have posted it.

It's a keeper for me. I think the water looks fine. I also like the wing and head position and the fact that you can see legs and feet.

Having the bill separated from the feathers is about the only thing that I think could improve the image. I like how the water and feathers are"frozen".

I love it, and as some one who teaches waterfowl ID in a wildlife biology class, it's a perfect practical slide for a female gadwall
