    Default American Avocet eating dinner!

Canon 7D, 700mm (500mm+1.4TC), Shutter Priority, 1/1600s, ISO200, f/5.6, 6PM, Don Edwards Wildlife Preserve-Alviso, CA. Laid flat on my belly for this shot of an Avocet feeding on small fish. Critiques are most welcome!

Great lightr, low angle, BG, pse, natural moment and detail, personally I would crop from the bottom to remove some of the reflection that IMO doesn´t really adds that much. ongratulations!

Conrad, just saw the series. I really like the 2nd shot there. As the HA is better, but I would burn out the bright spot in the BG.

I like Ramon´s idea of croping a bit from the bottom. The low angle is killer and the fish in the bill a very nice bonus :)

I like the idea of the pano crop. Other than that, a fabulous shot, nice low angle really helps this.

Your low angle of capture works well, and good to see his catch. I like Ramon's repost. In most cases, if the reflection is not clear, I would tend to not include it.

Conrad, superb low angle and sweet light. Terrific capture. I like Ramon's repost as that creates a strong diagonal. A little CCW rotation is needed IMO.

Hi Conrad, I tend to like both crops. I like the impact that your crop emits. Very strong!
