    Default Gatorland Great Egret Chick

I used the Fractalius plug in and I just chose the random selection die until I got one I liked:) I masked back in the eye and filled the BG w/ black.
Original image taken at Gatorland in Florida. This is a great place to photograph nesting birds and chicks up close. Mike Godwin runs a photographers program that allows early and late entry into the Rookery. Just google Gatorland in Orlando for more info.

Troy, It is a photshop plug-in that does not work on Mac. It also works in 8bit mode. I love the program and it is relatively inexpensive. If you click the link in my sig. you can see the pricing. Very user friendly and it has a lot of different looks.

How you know when to use this or that filter or plug-in baffles me. This one rocks. I love the black background and of course the Fracted feathers.

Can you please explain how you get the BKGR black without messing up the feathers.

You have inspired me to do at least one Fract today.

Thanks Nicki and Artie, I appreciate the kind words.
Artie, I make a new layer and fill it w/ black add a layer mask to it and fill in the areas that the filter forgot. The feathers are always a challenge but a good selection and Topaz re-mask helps a lot.:)

This is great, Denise. The black background really makes it work, and its little eye really draws me in.

Sure wish they'd make that plug-in for the Mac!

Denise, I'm not a great fan of these Fracts, but was thinking this image might be a good Flip for the coming theme!

Interesting, I must say that! :D
